Authors Mary Inman and Louise Pence research and create breathtaking portrayals of Old Northwest Territory costume and culture. Aimed primarily at beginning researchers of all ages, their work complements the holdings of museums and historic sites throughout the nation as well as primary source materials from the Ohio Historical Society Library and other archives. Their first book, The Fowler Family Gets Dressed is set in the Ohio Country of the 1790's. Their second, much anticipated book, The Fowler Family Celebrates Statehood and a Wedding takes place in 1803, with Ohio becoming the first state created from the Northwest Territory.
